Razvan BADIC
âStudent in final year of secondary school
As a Year 12 student and part of my preparation for the professional world, I have created this website to increase my visibility and make myself better known. This space is dedicated to introducing myself. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
Education:
Sainte-Anne Secondary School
20 Rue la Motte Picquet, 29200 Brest

Education is fundamental to me, providing the theoretical foundation essential for practical applications in various domains. I have consistently strived to be a model student, achieving my International Brevet and Cambridge IGCSE with top honors, which attests to my English proficiency. As a student in the international section since Year 7, I have embraced additional classes and homeworks, including english litterature, history and geography, instilling in me the values of hard work and sacrifice.
â
My aspiration to pursue a degree in economics and marketing is rooted in my passion for mathematics, sciences and sociology which are my specialist subjects. I also took the 3 hours Math Expert option, enhancing my mathematic knowledge through the study of more complex notions. Studying mathematics has sharpened my problem-solving abilities, while my courses in physics and chemistry have fostered critical thinking. I participate in the Mathematical Olympiad each year, which challenges and excites me. Discovering economics during my Première year was a revelation; learning the subject with minimal prior knowledge only heightened my interest.
â
I view economics as inherently social, as it profoundly impacts people's lives. This belief has motivated me to serve as a class representative and academic mentor, tutoring younger students and reinforcing the importance of teamwork and dedication.
â
I also earned my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, demonstrating my commitment to personal growth.

International Experience:

Being chosen for a school exchange in New York further expanded my global perspective. A private visit arranged by my father’s host on Wall Street enriched my understanding of asset management and financial markets. The bustling atmosphere, filled with traders shouting buy and sell orders, the blaring stock tickers, and my meeting with Peter Tuckman—often referred to as the Einstein of Wall Street—made me realize my desire to be part of this dynamic universe.
I also had the privilege of participating in the Denver exchange, where I officially represented the city of Brest abroad. This experience enhanced my communication skills and deepened my cultural understanding.

Sport:

âIn addition to my academic pursuits, I have engaged in various activities outside of school. My childhood fascination with planes led me to obtain my Aeronautical Initiation Brevet (BIA), and I am eager to pursue my pilot's license.
Sport plays a significant role in my life, as I regularly engage in running and mountain biking. I also pratice windsurf during holidays as a hobbie. These activities allow me to clear my mind and build perseverance.
Points of interests:
I dedicate much of my time to reading about world events and staying informed through the news. Learning about the challenges faced globally fuels my passion for economics. Books such as When Genius Failed and Reminiscences of a Stock Operator have provided me with insights into the world of stocks and trading.
I believe I can contribute meaningfully to the thriving university community. While I recognize the challenges ahead, my passion for the business world continually motivates me to succeed. I aim to thrive in a dynamic environment that will help me reach my full potential.
I also play guitar in my spare time, particularly radio hits, and I'm passionate about drawing cartoon characters such as Don Rosa's Donald Duck. These activities help me to concentrate and develop my artistic sense, which I consider to be essential for business and creativity.
